All your files and folders will now be in a single file named ‘ ‘ ![]() Select the ‘ backup‘ folder and then click on the ‘ Compress‘ button and select ‘ Gziped Tar Archive‘ then on the ‘ Compress File(s)‘ button, then on ‘ Close‘. If you cannot see the ‘ backup‘ folder click on the ‘ Reload‘ button. In the ‘ file path‘ box type /public_html/backup this will copy all the files into a ‘ backup‘ folder. Select all your files and folders and click on the ‘ Copy‘ button. Make sure all your Webtrees files and folders are all contained in the large main window. Log into your main cPanel page and go to the ‘ Files‘ section and click on the ‘File Manager‘ link. The slower way involves downloading your files and database separately through cPanel. The third icon from the left is the ‘ Download‘ icon and clicking on the icon downloads a full backup of all your files and all your database. The latest backup will have four icons on the right-hand side and if you hover over the icons it tells you what each one is. In a few seconds all your backups will be listed. In the left-hand margin click on ‘ Files‘, then ‘ Backup‘. On the right hand side click on the ‘ Connection‘ arrow and select ‘ Panel World‘. If you log-in to your PlanetHoster account and go to the ‘ My Services‘ area then click on ‘ My Portfolio‘ you will see your website listed. Provided you have followed our advice and have selected our preferred hosting partner of PlanetHoster all your website and database files will have been backed up automatically every two days and it is easy to copy any of those backups to your own computer.
